Sam Anania

Regional Manager

Sam is a highly competent engineering professional with over 15 years’ experience on a wide-range of complex civil infrastructure projects including the Grants Road and Proctor Street Wastewater Upgrade, the Mangere WWTP BNR Upgrade, the Pukaki Irrigation Scheme, and most recently, the NCTIR Kaikoura Earthquake Recovery works for NZTA.

As a Project Manager he is challenged to consistently deliver complex projects on time,to a high standard and within budget constraints.  Overseeing project profitability forms a key part of the commercial management aspect of Sam’s role.  This is successfully managed with Sam also being responsible for creating the baseline program for the projects; looking at how it will fit in with overall programs, to ensure his team are staying on time and target.

With regards to resourcing, Sam is responsible for making sure the team is equipped with enough people and gear on site to do the works, overseeing this through frequent communication with the team on site throughout the project.

For Sam, project quality starts with first understanding what the team is doing on the ground and ensuring the project complies to the correct specifications.  If there are any issues with the design, Sam will set up a conversation and ensure the client is engaged.

Having worked for both contractors and consultancies and now as a General Manager, Sam understands the key relationship drivers between design and construction teams and how to optimise those relationships to deliver outstanding outcomes.
