Training and Development
CB is a training organisation starting with our identity, Te Whare Whanui 'The House of Learning'
All staff are supported to take on some formal training and upskilling. CB leaders wrap around the learning pathway to ensure each employee succeeds. Working through milestones one at a time, both onsite and offsite, towards the objective.
Our senior leadership team view this as a legacy project, not only for the business but for the community and industry as a whole. The success of our people are shared successes of CB.

Staff Wellbeing
Our people are our greatest advantage, taking care of them both in and out of work is at the core of CB Civil. On-site we identify risks, then controls to eliminate hazards ensuring zero harm to staff.
It may sound simple but making sure our team arrive safety home to their families and without fatigue is a motto we live by. That said, it's no easy feat in our industry. To make it happen we ensure the right people are in the right places at the right time.
The Peacocke strategic wastewater project is testament to this philosophy with over 200,000 manhours without incident. All built on the back of well designed controls, listening to our staff and promoting a safety first culture.
Daily toolbox talks are where we open the discussion on mental and physical health. These learnings help guide our staff to leave work happier and healthier. Whether it’s the morning stretch routine known as CB Civil's 'Jump Jam' or the corporate boxing membership, we want our staff to put in hard mahi for our projects but also their own wellbeing.

We are actively seeking a capable and driven Drainlayer who is eager to do the hard mahi, hone their skills and tap into the possibilities offered by being an evolving company. With a secured pipeline of work we need keen and qualified staff to grow into an exciting 2024 with complex projects and exciting works. If you want to be close to the action, this is the role for you!
Excavator Operator
We are actively seeking a capable and driven Excavator Operator who is eager to do the hard mahi and use their skills to deliver world class infrastructure. Our Waikato team are currently delivering a 30,000 m3 bulk earthworks stage as part of our Southern Gullies project. These are big works that need confident operators to keep our productivities and morale sky high! If you want to be a part of tight knit crew that's moving serious dirt with some complex access challenges then this is the role for you!
Leading Hand
We are actively seeking a capable and driven Leading Hand who is eager to grow and develop their leadership skills on site. Day to day you will be leading a crew in the construction of exciting and complex infrastructure projects. This is the chance to take on more responsibility, delivering quality excellence on your workface and ensuring that we're meeting deadlines, standards and the expectations of our clients and community.
Trade Qualified Foreman
We are actively seeking a capable and driven Trade Qualified Foreman who is eager to do the hard mahi, develop their leadership and management skills and tap into the possibilities offered by being an evolving company. Our Waikato team are currently delivering two single span 60m bridges across a gully. This is technical and complex work which includes access constraints, innovative methodologies, 30,000 m3 of bulk earthworks and associated drainage.

The Project Engineer will play a key role in overseeing technical review, engineering, administration, inspection, scheduling, planning, survey, procurement, QHSE planning and compliance, cost control, stakeholder management, and promotion of company culture.
Project Manager
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Manager to join our team and assist the Operations Manager in overseeing the effective coordination and control of project works. The Project Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of projects by managing technical review, engineering, administration, inspection, scheduling, planning, survey, procurement, QHSE planning and compliance, cost control, stakeholder management, and promotion of company culture.
Project Supervisor
We are actively seeking a capable and driven Civil Supervisor who is eager to do the hard mahi, develop their leadership and management skills and tap into the possibilities offered by being an evolving company. Our Auckland team are currently constructing a new 1.85km wastewater pipeline and rising main including associated HDD, deep drainage earthworks and managing the access constraints of a live traffic corridor. This is technical and complex work that requires a Supervisor with proven experience and ability to think outside the box!
